Booking & Fees

At Mellow Vibes Psychology, we recognise that the rapid pace and mounting demands of life can overshadow mental well-being. That’s why we prioritise making our service both accessible and affordable for the community. We firmly believe everyone has the right to seek mental health support in a timely manner and without barriers. With this being said, we’re excited to share that we are currently accepting new clients and have available appointment slots.

Below, you’ll find a guide detailing the services and associated fees at Mellow Vibes Psychology. Please note that fees may vary, so we recommend confirming when scheduling your appointment. 

Individual Therapy 

  • A standard 1-hour consultation with our psychologist is priced at $200.
  • An extended 1.5-hour consultation with our psychologist is priced at $300. 
  • If you have a Mental Health care Plan, Medicare will provide a rebate of $93.35, reducing your out-of-pocket expense to $106.65 for a standard consultation or $206.65 for an extended session. 

Couples & Family Therapy 

  • The initial 1.5-hour consultation for couples or families with our psychologist is priced at $300.
  • Subsequent 1-hour sessions with our psychologist is priced at $200.
  • Please be advised that Medicare does not offer rebates for couples therapy.
  • Please also be advised that parents / guardians of children and adolescents can access two Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year for consultations without the child being present.

Assessments & Reports

  • Mellow Vibes Psychology is excited to announce that we are in the process of expanding our services to include assessments for a broad spectrum of psychological and educational concerns for both children and adults. As we are in the early stages of establishing our clinic, our test library is currently under development. We invite you to get in touch with us to discuss your needs and ascertain how we can best serve you.
  • Assessment reports can be provided with appropriate notice. Fees for preparing the report may vary and will be discussed prior to conducting the assessment.

Inclusivity

  • We provide discounted rates for concession cardholders, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cardholders, aged pensioners, and those facing financial challenges. If you possess a Mental Health Care Plan, then additional rate reductions may apply. Please reach out to us for more detailed information on our flexible fee structure.
  • We strive to make our services accessible to everyone. While our primary location is not wheel-chair accessible, we’re committed to accommodating your needs. To rectify this problem, we offer out-of-office therapy sessions. please reach out for further details as additional travel costs may apply. Alternatively, our telehealth option is available at no extra charge, ensuring everyone has an opportunity for care.

Cancellation Policy 

We deeply value the time you set aside for healing and self-care, as well as the commitment our psychologist makes to each session. When you book an appointment, that hour is devoted entirely to your well-being. We understand that life can be unpredictable, but if you can’t make it, we kindly request you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. This grace period allows us to offer that slot to another person who may be waiting for an opportunity to receive therapeutic support. Please be assured that if we can secure another client for your appointment time, you won't incur a cancellation fee. However, if the slot remains unfilled, the cancellation charge will be applicable.

Our cancellation policy is outlined below:

  • Notice provided over 48 hours: No Cancellation fee. 
  • Notice between 24-48 hours: 50% of the session fee. 
  • Notice less than 24 hours: 100% of the session fee. 
  • No-show without notice: 100% of the session fee.

We understand that unforeseen events, sudden illnesses, or emergencies can sometimes impact your plans. If such situations arise, please inform us at your earlies convenience. We’ll communicate any concerns to your psychologist, who will then consider the circumstances when deciding on the application of the cancellation policy. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Fee Adjustments

  • In the interest of transparency, we review and adjust our fees, which take effect at the onset of the new financial year. In our dedication to inclusivity, we strive to keep these adjustments as minimal as possible. We will ensure any changes to our fee structure are communicated and made know to you at least a month before implementation.
